"Captured in the body" is my first collection relating to the subject of Mental Health. A vision exploring the psychological interpretation. It consists of a series of images, created purposefully to share the feelings on the subject of finding our own way.

I invite you to dive into this universe and try to experience the complexity of personal feelings asking yourself did you find your own world?

Captured in the Body

is about looking at your own internal world.

Much like your own physical home,

it is your internal sanctuary and place of comfort

where a person can get all he needs.

Everything from physical comfort up to mental well-being

to become a holistic individual, happy and effective in oneself.

Every person has different levels of resilience to uncertainty. Some people thrive on the challenge of ‘going with the flow’ and take it as it comes, whereas others need to have a plan and process of long-term goal setting. To stay strong, it’s important to learn to balance our emotions, both negative and positive. To cope with the anxiety, train your brain to focus on the things that you can control, accept the uncertainty but be sure you have a plan.

We need reassurance from others, from the universe; so, we are learning the views of others on a certain problem in order to validate our own choices. Ultimately if it’s wrong, we can justify to ourselves that is just how someone else would do that and in this way we remove accountability from ourselves.

Acceptance is a first step towards building confidence. Our brain accepts the situation and understands that it is already under control and we feel positive. In this way we train our brain, constructing a new model of behaviour that

is productive and safe for us.

The same things done differently by two people however their attitude towards the same event could be opposite, the perception of the situation or problem could be complex and varies from one person to another. This just means that each path has its right to exist and in this moment you know best what to do and what are the best decisions to make. You are on your way.

We realize we can never be 100% certain about life. Have you met a single person who is doing exactly what their young self-thought they would be doing now? I know that I haven't. This does not mean that people aren’t reaching their goals, it just means that their goals have changed as time moves on. The truth is, no matter how much you try to plan and prepare for every possible outcome, life will find a way of surprising you. Spending all your time striving for certainty might make you miss the good things.
